Most nonprofit leaders know the potential grants have to grow their impact, but there's a huge problem.

Most nonprofits can't afford

to hire a full-time grant writer.

So they:

  • Run their organization on a shoestring budget
  • Use mostly volunteers to get the work of their programs done, aka not paying their founder/Executive Director
  • Rely on small, sporadic individual donations and fundraising events (that could get canceled at any time due to health concerns)
  • Cut entire programs or essential expenses that they really need
  • Haven't even tried applying for grants because they feel like it's just a waste of time that they could be spending serving their community

I'm here to tell you it's not your fault.

You learn about grant opportunities that might be a good fit at the 23rd hour and have to throw together an application that is nowhere near what it could be.

Or you aren't hearing about grants that you're eligible for at all and are wondering how these other nonprofits are pulling in grant after grant.

After spending the last 9 years writing grants for small to medium-sized nonprofits and then teaching thousands of students learn to write successful grants, I have consistently seen and heard the same grant issues persist for nonprofit leaders.

They're tired, burnt out, and nervous when it comes to grants. They know grants can be the key to bringing in consistent and large amounts of revenue, but, frankly, they have no clue how to do it.

What if there were an easier way?

THERE IS!

Yes, You Can Use AI to Help You Write Large Grants!

"I was just awarded a $1.25 million grant from the Lilly Foundation!

I took your grant writing workshop during the beginning of the pandemic and was totally overwhelmed and thought I'd never be able to get a grant for my work area.

Then I received your email about attending a training to learn how to write a grant 1 hour…using AI. I went - was totally amazed.

Before noon that day I had an 8-page draft of a potential grant.

Using AI, I was able to put together the structure and bones of a good proposal. By the end of my work (about 2 weeks), I had 20 pages of a proposal in a total 47-page grant.

I tell everyone that your training on how to use AI to write a grant is what launched me in the writing process.

SO - I just thought you would want to know that. I'm beyond excited. Thank you for what you do."

What You Get & Learn

When You Join

Write Your Standard Grant Narrative Training

In the Standard Grant Narrative unit, you will learn to create a stand-alone narrative that contains everything you could ever need for a grant proposal, including the Organizational Info: History & Mission section, Statement of Need section, Program Design and Logic Model section, and Budget (both organizational and program-specific). You'll also learn how to write other components like LOI's, abstracts, timelines, thank-you letters and more.

We provide you with a standard grant narrative template as well as individual lessons for every grant section, each with a detailed video and workbook that will help you complete each section of your standard grant narrative. You'll also get templates for Gantt charts, budgets, LOI's, and more!

Even though we also teach you how to use AI to streamline and reduce much of the work of writing a standard grant narrative, we've found it's still crucial for grant writers to have detailed knowledge of what makes a good narrative and be able to write one on their own because you need to be able to check AI's work, tell it what to do to improve it's writing, and be able to revise what AI produces to be original and better than what AI (so far) can write.

Ultimately, AI is an incredible assistant, but so many people are using it now that you need to have the skills to stand out from thousands of AI-generated grant proposals.

In the lessons listed below, we include 4.5 hours of video and 200 pages of workbooks.

In the Org Info: History & Mission lesson you will learn:

  • How to speak to your grantmaker's priorities
  • How to tell a compelling story, whether you are applying as an organization or as an individual
  • How to decide what information is relevant and important to include
  • How to refine your mission if you’re not sure it’s strong enough
  • How to interview others to include an outside or second perspective on your organization’s significance
  • How to revise this section for style
  • How to answer questions about your board
  • Other highly-specific questions that might be included in this section that you weren’t expecting
  • How to talk about yourself in an individual history section for an individual artist or academic research grant

In the Statement of Need lesson you will learn:

  • How to figure out exactly who you’re serving and exactly why they need it
  • How to do research, both secondary and primary
  • How to evaluate potential sources and decide what is most relevant to your argument
  • How to incorporate research that clearly demonstrates need
  • How to make a convincing argument, using rhetorical principles
  • How to avoid logical fallacies
  • How to tell a compelling story with evidence

In the Program Design & Logic Model lessons you will learn:

  • How to plan strong goals and objectives

In the All the Little Details lesson you will learn:

  • What type of organization/business/individual you are and which grants you qualify for
  • How to write an executive summary or abstract
  • How to create a timeline
  • How to write LOI’s

"I’m an intermediate grant writer. I’m an attorney and an accountant, and I learned SO MUCH!!!! The course truly has something for everyone!! From prompt engineering to budget creation to researching to support your grant narrative… it has everything. The trainings are phenomenal!!! Recordings, live sessions, downloadable sheets… you can’t ask for more!

I was an AI skeptic before meeting Krista at the Instrumtl seminar. Now, I’m a believer and tell everyone to come and join!

A rookie grant writer becomes a pro. A fearful grant writer becomes fearless. And a good grant writer becomes great. And an expert grant writer can now become a consultant.

Krista, you are fabulous!! I’m amazed at the care you take with each of us, your students, and the material.

I’ve improved in grant writing speed, program development, grant success… just in everything. If you do the program you will improve! Best money I’ve spent."

"Learning to use AI adds a professional grant writer in your business for free.

If you want to have the basics of a winning proposal drafted and just need to fine-tune it to your specific needs then this is something you should try, especially as a new or small nonprofit.

Thank you for doing this. It cleared some of the fear of trying something new and encourages me to see how this could positively impact my non-profit's ability to get successful proposals drafts , evaluation plans created, and program roadmaps created fast."

"This training taught me how to design prompts for ChatGPT to increase my writing speed and efficiency.

My mind is blown! I've written many grants over 25 years. I've won grants as small as $5K and as large as $3M.

Way to go Krista! You are an early adopter of the AI technology and a super teacher. I'm delighted to be learning from you."

"This training was excellent and my favorite thing about it is Krista's teaching style- very thorough.

I would encourage anyone in need of basic information on what AI is and how to use it to create professional grants to take this training.

The most important lesson I learned was the way prompts can assist in creating a more in-depth grant."

Frequently

Asked

Questions

What if I can't attend one of the live trainings or workshops?

All live trainings and workshops will be recorded in full and posted to the course website the next day. You can watch them anytime.

Will you draft, revise, or edit my grant for me?

The training includes live group coaching on drafts with students. It does not include 1-on-1 grant writing and revision for every participant or any assistance outside of the trainings and group workshops.

How much does the course cost?

The course is $60 per month for month-to-month access or $600 per year. This price includes all of the components listed above. It also gets you access to any new trainings and any other new or bonus content that may be added during your membership. You may cancel two weeks before the next monthly or annual charge processes by emailing support@grantwritingmadeeasy.com with your cancellation request.

Do you guarantee the grants I write using the training will be successful?

No, we are unable to guarantee success of any particular grant as many factors determine a grant's success, including the applicant's organizational history and capacity, fit with the grantmaker and funding opportunity, and applicant's ability to implement our training.

Do I get lifetime access to the course?

You will have access to all of the course content for as long as you are current on your payments. That means month-to-month members will have continued access as long as their payments are made every 30 days. That means annual members will need to pay each year for continued access to the course. During that time, you can download the recordings and the workbook for your continued use after your membership ends. If your payment fails to process, you will lose course access.

What if I have questions or need support?

Once enrolled you’ll receive information from us on how best to contact us via email for questions about the coursework, or our technical support team for any system (online access or performance) issues. "I highly recommend taking this class as it has the potential to change your life for the better.

The program provided me with insight into the best prompts to ask ChatGPT to generate more effective grant proposals. I found the entire program to be incredibly helpful and informative.

My experience has been great, and I am confident that anyone who wants to improve their grant writing skills will find this program to be highly valuable."

"This is revolutionary for a small nonprofit with limited resources.

I have submitted several successful grants to government entities, foundations, and individual donors. I joined to learn how to streamline and accelerate the process to achieve more detailed and impactful proposals. In the training, I have learned the iterative effectiveness of prompting and my favorite thing about the training has been having my mind blown!

I would absolutely recommend this training to anyone who wants to learn to write grants with AI. Thank you for taking the time to develop this course and share it. What a time-saver."

Khaim

"I highly recommend this training and education to anyone who wants to boost their productivity.

As someone who has written grants for non-profits and private sector companies, as well as local, state, and federal entities, I can say that while I have had some success, I recognized that there is always room for improvement. That's why I decided to sign up for the AI grant writing training program.

Thanks to the program, I learned how to write prompts that generate the information I need, as well as different types of prompts that help me write various sections of the application. Once I understood how to use the tool, I was amazed at how quickly I could complete tasks.

The training was certainly helpful for me, and I am excited to continue using the workbooks provided."

Melissa D.

"Thanks to the training, I now know how to apply for more grants than I ever thought possible as a regular person.

Despite putting in several grant applications, I had yet to win any. That's when I decided to enroll in the AI grant writing program with the goal of learning how to complete grant applications quickly so I could apply for more.

One of the key takeaways from the program was how to make a conversation with the AI to get a more customized grant proposal. This was incredibly helpful in showing me how to tailor my proposals to the specific requirements of each grant.

I learned a lot in the training and was able to complete writing a grant proposal, with the exception of the graphics and budget narrative required by federal grantmakers.

Overall, I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to improve their grant writing skills."

Nice to meet you!

I draw on my expertise as a Ph.D. in Rhetoric, Composition and Literacy Studies and my 7+ years of teaching university writing to provide the best grant writing education on the market.

Is Grant Writing Made Easier

for You?

If any of these sound like you, Grant Writing Made Easier is for you:

1. You often see grant opportunities that seem like a perfect fit for your work, but can't quite wrap your head around the requirements.

2. You know what you need to say, but don't know how to say it. You end up sitting in front of a blank screen, the blinking cursor counting down the seconds until the grant is due.

3. You're not sure which grants to apply for at all or even how to go about evaluating the likelihood of getting a grant award.

4. You're tired of trying to figure everything out on your own or through grant writing books that speak in generalities and don't actually help you figure out your needs, your particular situation.

5. You want to become a compelling writer, a savvy program designer, an adept budgeter.

6. Put simply, you want to write successful grants.
